Team Leader – Supported Living – Learning Disabilities & Autism
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £32,915 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Flexible working available including 9-day fortnight)

 

The Company:
Compass are proud to be working alongside a well-established and respected adult social care provider who deliver high-quality supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and associated mental health needs. With a person-centred approach and a strong support structure in place, they are dedicated to improving the lives of the individuals they support.

 

The Role:
They are looking for a passionate and capable Team Leader to oversee 2 to 3 supported living services in Rochdale, delivering around 500 care hours per week. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage day-to-day operations across the services, lead a team of 10–15 support workers, and ensure excellent care standards are maintained.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll also work closely with a team of quality assurance auditors, referral managers, and support planners to ensure that safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and service user outcomes are always prioritised.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across 2–3 services, managing up to 750 hours of support weekly
  • Lead and supervise a team of up to 15 support staff
  • Handle safeguarding matters, CQC notifications, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Deliver high standards of person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and potential mental health needs
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain service quality and continuous improvement
  • Participate in an on-call rota (approximately every 7–8 weeks)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced in supported living services, ideally in learning disabilities and/or autism care
  • Strong understanding of CQC requirements and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Confident in managing teams, conducting supervisions, and handling operational issues
  • Flexible and proactive approach, with a commitment to high-quality care delivery
