Theatre Manager – Private Surgical Hospital

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits Package
Location: Plymouth
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

 

About the Role

 

Compass Associates is excited to partner with a prestigious private hospital in Plymouth, specializing in elective surgeries for NHS-referred and private patients.

 

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Manager to oversee the theatre department. This pivotal role involves operational, strategic, and clinical leadership, working as part of the management team and reporting to the Director of Nursing and Hospital Director. The successful candidate will ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly, uphold CQC compliance, and maintain the delivery of outstanding patient care.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Qualified ODP or RGN with relevant and up-to-date theatre experience
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record managing theatre departments in private hospitals or NHS trusts
    • Experience maintaining compliance with CQC standards
    • Management qualifications or equivalent hands-on experience
    • Private sector experience (preferred but not essential)

Interview Process

  1. Initial phone briefing
  2. Informal hospital walk-around and meet-and-greet with the Head of Nursing
  3. Formal interview with the Hospital Manager
