Compass Associates are proud to be working with one of the UK’s leading private hospitals, located in the heart of Central London, who specialise in women's and children's health. This hospital is the largest of its kind in the UK, and they are dedicated to providing the highest level of care, combined with the latest technology and innovation.

At present, we are looking for a Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join their dynamic and skilled paediatric team.

The Role

As a Tissue Viability CNS, you will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge, advice and clinical skills in the treatment and management of children and young people with a range of skin conditions.

In this role, you will:

• Provide expert nursing care for children with a range of skin conditions, ensuring high standards of care are met at all times.
• Be an advocate for every child and young person attending the hospital for either investigation and/or procedures for dermatology treatments
• Work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and deliver individualised care plans.
• Offer guidance and support to nursing and medical staff regarding dermatology/tissue viability patients
• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior nursing staff and trainees. 

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which has a highly desirable shift pattern which will be worked days only Monday to Friday.

Requirements            

• RCN qualified with NMC registration OR RGN with NMC registration with relevant Paediatric experience
• Extensive experience working within Tissue Viability
• Previous experience working as a CNS, Specialist Nurse or similar level
• Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support certification.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven CPD
