Vice President of Operations – Senior Living

Oregon (Must be based in Oregon or open to relocation)

Salary: up to $250,000

 

Compass Associates have partnered with a mission-driven senior living organization dedicated to redefining the senior living experience. This organization is people-focused, purpose-led, and committed to delivering exceptional experiences for residents, families, and team members.

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations to provide executive leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction across a multi-community portfolio. This role is ideal for a proven operational leader who can scale operations, translate vision into measurable outcomes, and build high-performing teams in a complex, regulated environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership across multiple communities and service lines
  • Translate Board and executive vision into measurable operational outcomes
  • Drive operational efficiency, consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement scalable operational systems
  • Provide strategic and financial insight to support executive decision-making
  • Build, mentor, and lead senior and regional operational leaders
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, and initiatives to ensure sustainable profitability
  • Identify growth opportunities, including new markets and partnerships
  • Lead risk management, compliance, emergency preparedness, and business continuity
  • Leverage data, analytics, and innovation to enhance operational performance and resident experience

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience managing 15 or more communities
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and scaling operations across multiple sites
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Oregon-based or willing to relocate
