Compass Associates partnered with a Skilled Nursing Facility based in North Carolina to recruit a Director of Nursing position as part of a critical hire for the business.
Owing to state laws, all applicants were required to be registered nurses in North Carolina to be legally permitted to take on the responsibilities of a DON. Compass Associates’ senior care division was able to source several candidates in less than a week who closely matched the specific requirements of the client, and managed to arrange 3 interviews owing to the quality of resumes sent.
In order to keep momentum and candidates engaged in the process, the Compass Associates consultants worked closely with the internal SNF recruitment team. Annual leave for both the interview panel, and candidates meant an additional interview stage was added to the process. Hurricane Helene also caused an impact, with the facility unable to communicate to the outside world for more than 48 hours.
The successful candidate has since started in the role, and was able to recruit their previous assistant director of nursing for a vacant job at the facility which had been open for more than a year.
