An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join a well-established independent surgical hospital on the South Coast. This is a permanent position offering both full-time and part-time opportunities within a modern elective surgical environment.

The Role
You will provide high-quality anaesthetic services across a range of elective surgical specialties, with an initial focus on Ophthalmology and General Surgery. Additional specialties include:

Orthopaedics

Gynaecology

General Surgery
-
Ophthalmology
-
ENT
-
Urology
-
Dental Surgery
The service is predominantly elective, with emergency work limited to occasional returns to theatre for postoperative patients.
As part of the consultant team, you will:

Deliver safe, high-quality anaesthetic care.

Work closely with surgeons, theatre teams and multidisciplinary colleagues.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
-
Participate in departmental development, clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Support the ongoing delivery and development of anaesthetic services.
About You
To be considered, you will have:

Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.

Specialist Registration (GMC) in Anaesthetics.

Completion of recognised specialist training in Anaesthesia.
-
Several years' consultant-level experience, including at least two years practising within the UK.

Broad experience delivering anaesthetic services across a variety of surgical specialties.

The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team.
