Building on the success of their flagship London facility, Welbeck is expanding its network with a state-of-the-art centre designed to deliver outstanding patient care across a range of specialties including Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, ENT, Neurology and Orthopaedics.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer to join a newly established imaging department and play a key role in shaping MRI services from the ground up.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently justify and perform X-ray examinations in accordance with IR(ME)R.
  • Undertake general radiography, standing CT and theatre imaging across multiple surgical specialities.
  • Evaluate image quality and make protocol adjustments where required to optimise diagnostic accuracy.
  • Work closely with Consultant Radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using CompuCare and PACS.
  • Participate in equipment quality assurance, clinical audit and governance activities.
  • Support departmental policies, radiation safety, infection prevention and regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate abnormal findings appropriately and escalate equipment or operational issues promptly.
  • Contribute to service development, innovation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain CPD and participate in training, teaching and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (or recognised equivalent).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Broad general radiography experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R, radiation protection, quality assurance, clinical audit and health & safety.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and communicate effectively.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns, including participation in out-of-hours rotas.

Desirable Experience

  • CT experience.
  • Theatre radiography experience.
  • Cannulation competency.
  • Experience working independently within specialist imaging services.

Desirable 

  • Broad NHS and/or independent sector radiography experience.
  • Confident working autonomously across general X-ray and theatre imaging.
  • Strong understanding of radiation legislation, IR(ME)R, governance and quality assurance.
  • Ability to deliver high standards of patient care within a busy clinical environment.
  • Experience contributing to clinical governance, audit and service improvement initiatives.
  • Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
