Are you an RVN looking for a role where you can develop your skills across both first-opinion and more advanced referral-level cases?
Would you like to be part of a proudly independent veterinary group that genuinely supports clinical freedom and professional development?
Looking for a varied nursing role where no two days are quite the same?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a growing independent veterinary group, primarily based in Chichester.

This is a genuinely varied nursing position, offering exposure to a combination of first-opinion, emergency and referral-level cases. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of areas while working alongside an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team.

As an independent group, the practice places a strong emphasis on clinical freedom, collaboration and providing personalised care. The focus is on doing what's right for each patient, while creating an environment where every member of the team feels valued and supported.

  • Supporting the development of Student Veterinary Nurses and EMS placements

The wider group structure provides excellent opportunities to work alongside colleagues with different clinical interests and areas of expertise, while also allowing you to develop your own.

The Role

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting Veterinary Surgeons with consultations and procedures

  • Scrubbing in and supporting surgical procedures
  • Completing Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate
  • Monitoring patients under anaesthesia
  • Supporting inpatient care and patient recovery
  • Running nurse consultations and health checks
  • Supporting diagnostic investigations
  • Helping to ensure a smooth and high-quality patient journey

The practice is particularly keen to support nurses in developing their own areas of interest.

Whether you're interested in clinical coaching, pursuing a certificate, developing leadership skills or building expertise in a particular clinical area, there is genuine support available to help you progress.

The Team & Culture

One of the things that sets this independent group apart is its focus on creating a positive and supportive environment for its people.

The culture is built around collaboration, kindness and mutual respect, with the team encouraged to support one another and share their knowledge and experience.

The practice is looking for an RVN who enjoys being part of a team and is happy to get involved in the varied nature of hospital life.

This is an opportunity to join a larger independent group while still benefiting from a close-knit and personal working environment.
