Assistant Property Manager - Active Adult (mixed portfolio)

$45,000-$48,000 (experience dependent) + Commission + Excellent Benefits

Compass Associates are excited to partner with a valued client that operate a portfolio of residential buildings spanning active adult, multifamily and senior living. For this Active Adult property, I am seeking a dynamic, focused and experienced Assistant Property Manager.

 

Reporting to the Property Manager, you will play a key role in supporting a full turnaround at the building. You will have involvement in the renovation and transformation of the building, the lease-up strategy and also in establishing the community's presence and success in the local market.

 

Your responsibilities will be across 4 key areas to support the turnaround at the building;

  • Finances and operational (ie: rent collection, delinquency management, expense control)
  • Capital Improvement and renovations (project scheduling and management, unit readiness, vendor access etc)
  • Lease up execution, sales and leasing (leads, marketing, drive traffic, conversions and retention)
  • Resident experience and team collaboration (improve service, address concerns, solution focused)

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and operationally focused Assistant Property Manager from a similar role within active adult, multifamily, senior living or independent living settings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting property management, leasing and problem solving. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills. Creativity in providing solutions, leasing and marketing and an empathetic approach to delivering great service are essential.

 

Key Requirements
3+ years of experience in property positions within Active Adult, Multifamily or Senior Living (required).
Proven success in improving operational performance and /or increasing occupancy rates and achieving revenue targets.

Experience of supporting capital improvement projects

Exposure to turnaround or lease-up environments highly desirable

Creative marketing and sales strategies to attract and retain residents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 

Location
The community is located locally to Irving, TX and easily accessible from Plano, Garland, McKinney, Arlington, Dallas and surrounding areas.

  

Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $48,000 + bonuses
