Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for a Director of Nursing for their medium sized skilled nursing facility in Union City, California.
For this opportunity you are required to be a qualified registered nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina, that is passionate about care and has previous experience working as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) within a skilled nursing facility with a minimum of 50 units.
You will be focused on providing high-quality care in line with Carolina state guidelines, supporting and developing the well-established team you are leading. Reporting into and supporting the administrator, with their day-to-day responsibilities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have a registered nursing license (RN), active in the state of California. While having experience of either DON or ADON responsibilities and the management of a nursing team within a skilled nursing facility of 50 beds. Along with a good understanding of California state regulations within Long-Term Care.
All applicants must have experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) within a Long-Term Care, skilled nursing facility (SNF) and provide evidence that they have the capability to manage the clinical operations of a skilled nursing facility (SNF). The position requires a manager who can motivate a staff team, while ensuring that first class care is always delivered and understands the expectations of working within a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Supporting, coaching and leading the nursing team.
Requirements
Registered Nurse qualification (RN) within the state of California
Experience as Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing
History of managing a clinical team within a Long-Term Care, skilled nursing facility
Experience with, Medicare, Medicaid guidelines
Knowledge of California Long-Term Care regulations
Location
The facility is based in Union City, Carolina and is commutable from Fremont, Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose and surrounding areas.
