We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Home Manager to lead 50 + bed care home in Nottingham.
We are looking for an experienced leader who can confidently take ownership of the service from day one, providing stability, strong leadership and operational excellence.
The home provides high-quality Residential, Dementia and Nursing Care for older people and has a committed, experienced team in place. This role has arisen due to the current Home Manager being on long-term sick leave, with no confirmed date for a phased return.
Initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, there is the potential for the role to become permanent depending on future business needs and the progress of the current manager's return.

You will be responsible for:

Providing strong, visible leadership to motivate, develop and support the staff team.

Maintaining excellent governance, quality assurance, internal auditing and risk management systems.

Ensuring the home remains fully compliant.

Driving continuous quality improvement and preparing the service for future regulatory inspections.

Sustaining and improving occupancy through effective marketing, relationship building and reputation management.

Managing the home independently, using your experience, professional judgement and leadership skills expected of an experienced Registered Manager.

Working collaboratively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, Local Authority representatives and external agencies.

Promoting an open, honest and transparent culture, setting clear expectations through effective verbal and written communication.

Ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Interim Home Manager or Care Home Consultant.

Experience managing Residential, Dementia and Nursing services.

Strong operational leadership and people management skills.
-
A proven track record of delivering high standards of governance, compliance and risk management.

Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and the 13 Fundamental Standards.

Experience maintaining or improving occupancy and commercial performance.

The confidence to work independently and make informed operational decisions.

Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with colleagues, residents, families and external professionals.

A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
