Regional PBS Practitioner – Adult Social Care

Learning Disabilities / Autism / Mental Health– Residential & Supported Living

£35,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Mileage Reimbursement

Full-time (40hrs per week), Permanent

Home-based with regional travel to services across central England & Suffolk (dependent on business needs)

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to their own vehicle, and have experience working as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner within adult social care.

 

Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with a national provider of specialist support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, in the appointment of a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established national PBS team at a time of growth. The team is increasing its regional capacity to continue delivering high-quality behavioural support across residential and supported living services.

 

This role offers an excellent balance of autonomy and collaboration. You'll manage your own diary, work from home, travel across your allocated region, and focus on improving quality of life through meaningful behavioural assessment and intervention. Unlike many PBS roles, the emphasis is on clinical practice rather than training delivery, allowing you to spend the majority of your time supporting individuals and services directly.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing Functional Behaviour Assessments
  • Developing and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Supporting services to implement PBS strategies through coaching and mentoring
  • Delivering behavioural audits, analysis and regional reporting
  • Working alongside operational managers to embed best practice and improve practice leadership
  • Delivering occasional PBS training (typically no more than one 2–3-day course per month)
  • Promoting proactive, person-centred approaches that improve quality of life and reduce restrictive practices

Requirements

  • Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behaviour Analysis 
  • Experience completing behavioural assessments and writing Behaviour Support Plans
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • The ability to coach, influence and support operational managers
  • Level 5 qualification or equivalent/above (or willingness to complete)
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
