Registered Manager – EBD - Children’s Residential Home
Haslingden, Lancashire  
£57,000 per annum plus generous bonus structure with potential earnings of £78,000!  

(Welcome bonus of £5k following successful OFSTED registration, up to £6k bonus for an outstanding OFSTED rating and a further £10k occupancy bonus paid bi-annually)  
4 bed EBD service

 

A well-established therapeutic children's residential provider is seeking a Registered Manager for one of its specialist homes in a peaceful rural setting in the North West.

 

About the Home:
Set in a converted farmhouse surrounded by open countryside, this home provides high-quality therapeutic care and education for up to four boys aged 11 to 18. The home is currently rated Inadequate with OFSTED and does need a very strong manager in place to lead an inexperienced staff team.

 

The Role:
The role involves providing full operational leadership of the children’s home, ensuring the smooth and effective running of the service. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a diverse, high-performing care team, while overseeing care planning, safeguarding practices, and risk management strategies. A key aspect of the role includes working collaboratively with education teams and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure the delivery of holistic, child-centred care.

You will also be expected to promote the home to both internal and external stakeholders, produce detailed reports and performance data in line with key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the service. Additionally, the role includes contributing to wider organisational projects and development initiatives to support the strategic growth and innovation of the service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, or at least two years’ experience as a Deputy Manager with the ambition and readiness to step into the Registered Manager role
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to trauma-informed, therapeutic care approaches
