£50,000 – £80,000 DOE
Full Time or Part Time | Permanent
Near Canterbury, Kent
Are you a confident Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a progressive independent practice where clinical standards, thorough case workups, and client relationships are genuinely prioritised?
We are working with an award-winning independent practice in Kent seeking an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team. This opportunity would suit a GP Vet with a few years’ experience through to an Advanced Practitioner looking to work within a modern environment offering both first opinion and advanced referral-level services.
Established in 2019, the practice has expanded rapidly, growing from a small founding team into a thriving practice of over 20 staff members, with continued investment into facilities, diagnostics, and advanced clinical services.
The Role
This position offers a varied caseload across both first opinion and advanced cases, working alongside experienced clinicians with interests in dentistry, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, and advanced diagnostics.
The practice places strong emphasis on allowing vets the time to work cases up properly, build lasting client relationships, and deliver high-quality patient care. Longer consultations and structured appointment scheduling support continuity of care and detailed clinical investigation.
The team are particularly interested in speaking with Veterinary Surgeons who enjoy dentistry or have additional interests they would like to continue developing within a supportive environment. Consult-only positions may also be considered for the right individual.
The Practice & Team
This modern independent practice has recently expanded into an adjoining building following significant investment into facilities and equipment, including advanced diagnostic technology and CT imaging.
Alongside first opinion work, the practice continues to expand referral-level services across dentistry, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, and advanced imaging, receiving referrals from across East Kent and surrounding areas.
The team currently consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, with further expansion planned, alongside a large and supportive nursing, client care, and non-clinical support team. The culture within the practice is collaborative, supportive, and heavily focused on communication, progression, and delivering exceptional patient and client care.
Working Pattern
The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applications. Weekend cover is shared fairly across the veterinary team on a rotating basis.
