Summary:
Compass Associates is proud to partner with a respected care provider in the search for a passionate and resilient Care Manager to lead a specialist supported living service. This is a full-time opportunity, where you will oversee the care and support of six service users with complex needs, including autism and mental health challenges. As the Care Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a high-risk environment, supporting a dedicated staff team, and ensuring consistency and quality in the delivery of care.
The Role of Care Manager:
As a Care Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality, person-centred support is provided to all service users, in line with organisational objectives, CQC requirements, and statutory guidelines. You will oversee the administrative aspects of home services, including financial arrangements, training, and care planning. This is a demanding role that requires strong leadership and management skills to elevate the standard of care and support provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report writing and maintaining good communication with the team and external stakeholders
- Ensure consistency in communication and care, understanding the specific needs of individuals supported.
- Oversee the service's operations and maintain high standards of care.
- The position includes an on-call component, requiring availability for emergencies or situations that may arise outside of regular hours.
- Ensuring that the service is tailored to meet the needs of the individuals.
- The role requires excellent administration skills and effective time management, as punctuality is crucial in this environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria:
- Experience working with Autism and Mental Health with behaviours that challenge.
- Looking for someone who is vibrant and experienced, capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and service
- Excellent communication skills
- PBS and Trauma informed care approach is desirable
- MUST hold a Level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care
- A minimum of four years of experience in a management position within the social care sector
- Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and maintain a calm demeanour while addressing various challenges.
