The Role
Working within a supportive and experienced pharmacy team, you'll rotate across ward-based clinical pharmacy, outpatient dispensary and clinical governance, giving you excellent variety and exposure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical screening and medicines reconciliation
- Ward-based clinical pharmacy services
- Supporting consultants, nursing teams and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Dispensary and outpatient pharmacy duties
- Clinical audit and governance projects
- Medicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives
- Participation in a supportive on-call rota (approximately every 3–4 weeks)
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to combine hands-on clinical practice with service development and quality improvement.
About You
You'll have:
- GPhC registration
- At least one year of post-registration experience
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach to patient care and service improvement
- Willingness to work across both clinical and dispensary settings
- Flexibility to participate in the rotating shift pattern and on-call rota
- A reasonable commute to South West London (approximately 45–60 minutes)
Working Pattern
- 37.5 hours per week
- Rotating weekday shifts:
- 08:30–18:00
- 10:30–20:00
- 1 in 3 Saturdays (08:30–13:00)
- One four-day weekend every month
- Low-frequency on-call rota with significantly fewer call-outs than many comparable hospital pharmacy roles
