Job Title: Registered Manager - Mental Health

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Manchester

Salary: £43,000 - £50,000 per annum

Role:

This is a critical opportunity for a strategic and hands-on Registered Manager to oversee the grand opening and operational leadership of a newly refurbished, high-spec 12-bed mental health residential service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Steer the service through CQC registration and launch phase, establishing an excellent standard of care.
  • Lead, inspire, and build a high-performing care and support team from the ground up, promoting a compassionate and non-dictatorial leadership style.
  • Work collaboratively with business development and local authority commissioners to manage referrals and achieve steady, quality-focused occupancy.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational management, quality assurance, compliance, and budget control.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager within mental health residential services (similar-sized residential or learning disability backgrounds with strong mental health experience will also be considered).
  • CQC registration experience and a track record of good inspection outcomes. Experience opening new services or managing commissioning, is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with experience engaging external local authority commissioners and health partners.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a true, approachable leader who thrives in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Process:

Stage 1: Initial competency-based video interview via Teams with the Regional Operations Manager.

Stage 2: Final interview with the Operations Director (In-person or Teams).
