Registered Veterinary Nurse – No Weekends or OOH!
Up to £38,000 DOE
Full Time | Permanent
Woodford, London
Monday to Friday | 9am–5pm | 4-day week considered | NO weekends | NO OOH or on-call
Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to take the next step into referral nursing, but don't want to work in a large, busy hospital environment?
This growing independent referral service is looking for an RVN to join its newly opened team in Woodford.
You'll gain valuable referral experience in a more personal and manageable setting, working alongside experienced clinicians and nurses without the intensity of a large referral hospital — and importantly, you'll enjoy a role with no weekend, out-of-hours or on-call commitments.
Whether you're an experienced referral nurse or a junior RVN looking to take your first step into referral, the team is more interested in finding the right person and personality than a specific level of experience. If you're kind, collaborative, eager to learn and excited by the opportunity to join a growing service, this could be an excellent next step.
The Role
This is a varied referral nursing role combining clinical, client-facing and organisational responsibilities.
The service focuses primarily on planned referral work and day procedures, rather than a high-pressure hospital environment with a constant stream of critically unwell inpatients.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your role around your own interests, whether that's:
-
Assisting with procedures
-
Anaesthesia and patient monitoring
-
Client communication and discharges
-
Administration and appointment coordination
-
Equipment and kit management
An interest in anaesthesia is welcomed but not essential. The team is keen to support nurses in developing their individual strengths and professional interests.
The role is ideal for an RVN who wants to experience specialist referral nursing while working in a smaller, more manageable setting, with the time and support to build confidence and develop professionally.
As this is a recently opened service, you'll also have the opportunity to play a part in helping the team develop and grow, making this an exciting time to join!
The Practice
This independent referral service has an established reputation for delivering high-quality specialist-led veterinary care, supported by a large main hospital and a growing network of services across the UK.
The Woodford service has recently opened as part of the organisation's continued growth across London. You'll have the opportunity to join at an exciting stage, working within a dedicated referral environment alongside experienced clinicians, with access to specialist equipment and opportunities for ongoing development.
As the service grows, there will be opportunities for the team and individual roles to evolve, making this an exciting time to become part of the service.
The Team & Culture
The team is friendly, inclusive and supportive, with a genuine focus on providing excellent patient and client care.
Personality and team fit are just as important as experience. They're looking for someone who is kind, collaborative, willing to learn and keen to develop.
You don't need extensive referral experience or an anaesthesia certificate. Junior RVNs are welcome to apply!
The team will support you in developing your own interests, whether that's clinical work, anaesthesia, client care, consultations or the organisational side of the service.
