Overview
An established and highly respected private mental health hospital in South East London is seeking a fully accredited CBT Therapist or Integrative Psychotherapist to join its specialist multidisciplinary team. This role supports both adult inpatient and outpatient services, delivering high-quality group therapy programmes and individual psychological interventions.
This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week) with the opportunity to work with a varied and clinically rich caseload within a structured, supportive environment that prioritises patient recovery, staff development, and evidence-based care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based CBT and integrative psychotherapy to adults presenting with both common and complex mental health conditions.
- Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, develop clear formulations, and implement individualised treatment plans.
- Provide short-term and longer-term therapy based on clinical need.
- Facilitate psychoeducational, therapeutic, and relapse-prevention groups within structured treatment programmes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with service policies and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to risk management, care planning, and case reviews.
- Engage in regular clinical supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- A recognised therapeutic qualification (minimum Level 5 Diploma).
- Full professional accreditation and registration with BABCP, BACP, or UKCP.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience working with adults in a mental health setting.
- Strong experience delivering CBT, with additional training in EMDR, DBT, or another specialist modality highly desirable.
- Confident in delivering both individual therapy and group interventions.
- Able to meet 60% clinical hours requirement.
- Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends as required.
- Demonstrates empathy, resilience, strong communication skills, and a truly collaborative approach.
- Candidates working towards accreditation within the next 6–12 months may also be considered at a revised salary band.
