A highly regarded veterinary practice in Chester is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at an exciting time of growth and innovation.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established practice with a beautifully designed interior, proactive clients, and a varied caseload including a high proportion of insured pets. With new AI technology being introduced to streamline workflows, this role allows you more time to focus on patient care while being fully supported with training and CPD in these advancements.

 

You will be joining a welcoming and social team consisting of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 3 Receptionists, led by an experienced Practice Manager. The team boasts a wide range of clinical interests, creating an environment where collaboration, learning, and development are actively encouraged.

 

The Role

We are ideally looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine surgery and consultations. Experienced consult-only vets or those with other special interests are also encouraged to apply.

 

On a day-to-day basis, the practice operates a tightly structured diary to ensure colleagues finish on time. This includes dedicated phone call and paperwork time, fully blocked lunch breaks and 20-minute sick pet consults. Nurses are available throughout the day to assist in consults and to run nurse clinics.

Requirements

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration
  • Confident in routine consults and surgery
  • Open to learning and working with AI-supported systems
  • Team-oriented with a passion for high-quality patient care
