We are supporting a well-established elderly care provider in the recruitment of a Registered Home Manager for a residential care home in the Scottish Borders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and day-to-day operational management of the home
• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards
• Embed consistency across care delivery, staffing, and governance
• Lead and support the staff team
• Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and commissioners
• Drive quality improvement while maintaining occupancy and financial performance

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience as a Registered Home Manager within elderly residential care
• Nurse qualification is not required
• Someone who enjoys creating stability and supporting services to continue developing positively
• Comfortable managing smaller homes, including those in rural or semi-rural locations
• A good understanding of regulatory and inspection requirements
• A calm, approachable, and visible leadership style, with a focus on supporting and developing others

Location
Commutable from Carlisle, Gretna Green, Dumfries and other Scottish Border and Lake District towns.
