Optometrist – Leading Private Opticians
Location: Keith, Moray
Basic Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Bonus, Relocation Package and Benefits
Package: 34 days’ holiday + professional fees paid + additional benefits
Employment Type: Full Time (37.5 hrs) - Saturdays included.
About the role
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a well-established independent provider of optical and hearing care, known for its strong clinical standards and patient-focused approach.
This is an exciting opportunity for a patient-focused Optometrist to join a growing practice. With testing times of 30–40 minutes and access to modern diagnostic equipment, you’ll be able to deliver high-quality primary eye care while also supporting the ongoing development of the practice.
This role would suit an Optometrist who is passionate about delivering outstanding clinical care and who enjoys working closely with the wider team to help drive both clinical and commercial success.
The package
Competitive salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing
Delivering full eye examinations and contact lens appointments with 30–40 minute testing times
Providing tailored clinical advice and patient-centred solutions
Working collaboratively with the management team to support practice growth
Supporting the dispensing team with frame and lens recommendations
Maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professional conduct
Ensuring compliance with GOC standards and CPD requirements
What we’re looking for
GOC-registered Optometrist
Strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build long-term patient relationships
Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
Confident team player within a multi-disciplinary environment
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of patients and the practice
Interview process
The interview process is quick and flexible, with the option of virtual interviews via Teams or in person where appropriate. The process typically involves two informal stages focused on your clinical experience, working style, and future ambitions, with the opportunity to visit the practice prior to joining.
