Location: West London

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week, including weekends)

Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with a market-leading provider of specialist eye care and elective healthcare services to recruit a Clinic Manager for a flagship, high-volume Clinic in London.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-functional, premium clinical and retail environment, delivering a blend of surgical services and high-end optical care. The organisation continues to invest heavily in its people, technology, and patient experience, and is seeking a commercially astute leader to drive performance at one of its key locations.+

The Role

As Clinic Manager, you will take full ownership of both the commercial and operational performance of a busy, established clinic offering laser eye surgery, lens replacement, cataract services, and optical retail.

You will lead a diverse team including patient advisors, optometrists, and front-of-house staff, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional patient journey while consistently achieving key commercial targets.

This is a high-impact, visible leadership role where success is driven by your ability to influence performance, improve conversion, and create a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive overall clinic performance, with a strong focus on revenue, conversion rates, and patient journey optimisation
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team, creating a high-performance and accountable culture
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient diary management and clinic flow
  • Monitor and improve key KPIs including:
    • Consultation attendance rates
    • Booking conversion rates
    • Average order value
    • Surgical bookings and revenue
  • Support the patient consultation journey, ensuring patients are fully informed and confident in their treatment decisions
  • Maintain exceptional standards across the clinic environment, reflecting a premium healthcare offering
  • Take ownership of recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members

The Environment

This flagship site offers a full range of advanced procedures, combining surgical treatments with a strong retail offering. The clinic operates at high volume and requires a manager who is confident working in a fast-paced, target-driven setting.

You will be leading a relatively young and energetic team, so strong leadership presence, maturity, and the ability to develop others is essential.

About You

  • Proven management experience within optical, healthcare, dental, or high-end/luxury retail environments
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience delivering against KPIs and revenue targets
  • A confident leader with a track record of developing teams and improving performance
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven, consultative sales environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both patients and colleagues
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting

Optical experience is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided.

What’s in it for You

  • Salary up to £50,000 plus performance-related bonus
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing, national organisation
  • Access to industry-leading training and development
  • Modern, technology-driven working environment
  • Staff benefits including discounts on treatments and products

Additional Information

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • Flexibility required, including evenings and regular weekend working
  • Interview process will include a screening stage followed by two-stage interviews, including a face-to-face meeting

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven manager to step into a high-profile clinic and make a measurable impact within a forward-thinking healthcare organisation.

Interview process

The process is quick and flexible, with virtual interviews available via Teams or in-person if local. Expect a two-stage, informal discussion focusing on your clinical experience and ambitions, with the opportunity to visit the branch before joining.

We offer a £500 voucher for every successful recommendation or referral.
