Head of Nursing & Quality appointed at Learning Disabilities business

Compass Associates supported a business-critical hire in the form of a Head of Nursing & Quality for a listed learning disabilities specialist provider, as part of a significant turnaround project at the organisation.

Following a recent acquisition of two specialist hospitals which complemented the offering of the business, there was an urgent need to source a Head of Nursing & Quality professional who would be working alongside the Hospital Director to identify key areas of improvement to turn the services around. 

The Specialist Care division had a long-standing, successful relationship with the senior leadership team with the client, and as such were trusted to support such an important hire into the business. 

The client stipulated that the Head of Nursing & Quality would need to have a thorough understanding of autism – in particular ADOS – as the provider specialised in this type of autism diagnosis, particularly in adults. 

Owing to the highly specific brief, Compass Associates presented two profiles matching the requirement, both of whom were interviewed by the client across two stages in under two weeks from the initial discussion about supporting the hire. The successfully identified candidate was offered and accepted first time and was able to start on a part-time basis less than five weeks after Compass Associates had been mandated with the role.
