Compass Associates were mandated in the complex search for a Lead Mammographer for a leading private healthcare provider to be located at a brand new hospital opening.
This was a particularly complex assignment due to the industry being so niche and there being a short supply of qualified candidates. The client exclusively chose Compass Associates over other suppliers to lead on this search due to the ongoing partnership and their satisfaction of our previously completed assignments. Despite the complexity surrounding the role, we have a good understanding of the client’s needs and a general understanding of the business so the client so we had no concerns about us successfully completing this assignment.
Despite the specific requirements, the whole process was incredibly quick and had a turnaround process of around six weeks. We were able to source three potential candidates to go forward to the interview stage for the Lead Mammographer role. We were able to overcome some of the challenges with sourcing candidates by creating a candidate pack. This allowed us to really be able to provide information in a visually pleasing way for the candidates that gave us the opportunity to really sell this role.
The candidates were subjected to a single virtual interview stage as the client’s site facilities were not ready in time to hold in-person interviews. To ensure that the candidates would be comfortable with working in a new hospital, we arranged client visits for them to ensure that they felt it was right for them. Out of the three candidates, the client offered one of them the role which they accepted.
Despite the current incumbent initially having concerns about working within a new hospital after having the in-person site visit completely changed their mindset and they were eager to start within the role once given the offer. The relationship between the client and candidate has been a complete success. In total this assignment had a six-week turnaround from taking on candidate sourcing to candidate offer. The candidate had a short notice period so had availability quicker than initially anticipated, which helped accelerate the process.
