Compass Associates are delighted to be working with a leading Private Hospital in Central London in their search for an Advanced Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist. Our client has over four decades of expertise at providing the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment across multiple sites in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care.
Internationally renowned as a centre of clinical excellence, this Private Hospital is entirely dedicated to providing care to women and children. Their inpatient and outpatient specialties reflect this, providing clinical expertise in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women`s Health.
As an Advanced Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for leading the Paediatric Neuro Rehabilitation inpatient ward, including working alongside the SDR Lead Physiotherapist to assist with the Selective dorsal rhizotomy service. There will also be some general paediatric, orthopaedic and respiratory patients as you may be required to provide cover for other members of the Physiotherapy team and also cover the weekend and on-call service.

Key requirements
- Be registered with the HCPC
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Highly specialist experience in Paediatric Neurology and rehabilitation.
- Experience working within in-patient and out-patient settings within an acute hospital
- Experience working across other disciplines within physiotherapy e.g rotations
- Good timekeeping and prepared to be flexible
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
- Confidence and enthusiasm
Key responsibilities
- To be responsible for Neurorehabilitation caseload including: admission assessments, goal-setting and treatment planning, Equipment provision, orthotics and discharge planning.
- To be able to provide additional clinical support across other areas of the hospital, including PICU, orthopaedic surgery, cardio-thoracic surgery.
- Use expert clinical reasoning to provide specialist intervention, support and advice to patients, ensuring best practice is applied at all times.
- To maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise treatment records detailing the individual patient's treatment plan and progress.
- To ensure that physiotherapy sessions are commenced on time and patients are charged appropriately for their treatment.
- To work flexibly to the needs of the service and to participate in the out of hours weekend and standby service as required.
