Regional Area Manager / Responsible Individual
Children’s Residential Services (EBD)
Location: East Midlands
Salary: Up to £75,000 + KPI-related bonus + travel expensives
We are recruiting an experienced Regional Area Manager / Responsible Individual to help set up a new portfolio of children’s residential homes across the East Midlands, with involvement in the opening and registration of new services, including a newly developed home in London (this is temporary while the new service is opening)
This is a critical leadership role within a growing organisation, offering the opportunity to shape services from pipeline through to registration and operation, while providing strong oversight and support to Registered Managers and care teams.
Key Responsibilities

Act as Responsible Individual for multiple children’s homes, including new services in development

Provide regional oversight to EBD residential homes

Lead on Ofsted registrations, pre-registration processes, and inspections

Support the opening of new homes, including recruitment of staff and onboarding of Registered Managers

Ensure homes operate in line with regulatory, safeguarding and quality standards

Provide consistent leadership, performance management and development of managers

Attend the London home at least one day per week during its registration and initial operational phase

Work closely with senior leadership to support expansion and long-term growth
What you will bring

Proven experience as an RI / Regional Manager within children’s residential care

Prior experience acting as a Responsible Individual

Strong track record of managing people and multi-site services

Hands-on experience with registrations, openings and Ofsted inspections

Comfortable managing services at different stages of development

Based within, or commutable to, the East Midlands region
-
Willing and able to travel, including weekly presence in London

Resilient, committed, and confident operating in a fast-paced growth environment

NVQ Level 5
