We’re looking for an exceptional Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) specialising in Breast Cancer Care to join a leading private hospital, located in Central London. This is more than a clinical role; it’s a chance to become a trusted guide, advocate, and expert for people navigating a breast cancer diagnosis—supporting them from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and beyond.
The Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for patients and their families, providing expert clinical care, emotional support, and continuity throughout the breast cancer pathway. You’ll work closely with a leading team of Consultants, Surgeons, Oncologists, Radiologists, and nursing team to ensure seamless, holistic care.
You’ll have the autonomy to lead, the support to grow, and the opportunity to influence service development and best practice.
You will have a number of responsibilities including:
- Acting as a specialist clinical resource in breast cancer care
- Supporting patients with informed decision-making, education, and advocacy
- Coordinating care across the multidisciplinary team
- Delivering evidence-based, compassionate nursing care
- Contributing to service improvement, audits, and patient education initiatives
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues where appropriate
This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. There is also the opportunity to work a 4 day working week if you would prefer.
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse with NMC Registration
- Right to Work in the UK
- Specialist knowledge and experience in breast cancer care
- Advanced skills in the management of patients with early and advanced breast cancer, including the management of complex needs
- Advanced knowledge of breast cancer management and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient-first mindset with genuine empathy and resilience
- Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a collaborative team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Summary
