Business Development Manager – Eastbourne & Edenbridge (Live-in & Visiting Care)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + uncapped commission
Locations Covered: Eastbourne (primary), Edenbridge & parts of Kent

 

About the Role

A leading home care provider is expanding its community presence across Eastbourne and Edenbridge and is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across both live-in care and visiting care services.

 

This is a newly created role designed to bring focus, momentum, and structure to business development activity. You will play a key part in growing private client referrals, increasing brand visibility, and strengthening relationships across the local health and social care landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow referral relationships with

  • Solicitors, financial advisers, and later-life planning professionals

  • Community groups, charities, and local businesses
  • GPs, hospital discharge teams, and healthcare networks
  • Increase private client enquiries for both live-in and visiting care

  • Promote the brand within the community through events, presentations, and networking

  • Represent the service with professionalism, compassion, and confidence

  • Support local branches with marketing activity, promotional events, and client introductions

  • Advise families on care pathways and help transition clients between visiting and live-in services where appropriate

  • Work closely with operations and commercial teams to deliver growth targets

About You

You will succeed in this role if you are:

  • Confident, charismatic, and comfortable representing the organisation at events

  • Empathetic with a genuine interest in improving later-life care

  • Commercially minded and able to convert relationships into referrals

  • Highly organised with excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficient in PowerPoint and able to deliver engaging presentations

  • Experienced in the care sector or another premium, customer-focused service environment

Experience in live-in care is not essential — full training and support will be provided.

 

Suitable Locations

This role is ideal for candidates based in or near Eastbourne, Edenbridge, Uckfield, Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough, Hailsham, Seaford, Lewes, Haywards Heath, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, and the surrounding East Sussex and West Kent areas.

 

Interview Process

Stage 1: Online interview with senior management
Stage 2: Face-to-face interview with senior leadership, including a short (5–6 slide) presentation on how you would approach the role

 

Package & Benefits

  • Base Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

  • Uncapped commission:

    • £500 per live-in client (over 28 days)

    • £250 per live-in client (under 28 days)

    • Additional fees for visiting and introductory care services
