Compass Associates are proud to be working with a leading hospital group, located in Southampton, who are currently in search for a Staff Nurse to join their dedicated 16 bedded Cardiac Ward.
This well-established hospital offers a broad range of specialities including Cardiac, Urology, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Cosmetics, ENT, Paediatrics and General Surgery, serving both private and NHS-funded patients. They are committed to delivering the highest level of patient care, and pride themselves on their positive patient feedback. This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the leading cardiothoracic centres in England.
The Role
As a Cardiac Staff Nurse, you will be central to the safe, effective care of patients recovering from a range of cardiac surgeries. You’ll work within a skilled multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cardiac physiologists, and specialist nurses, delivering holistic care tailored to each individual’s needs. They have a fantastic Cardiac nursing team, so excellent support and training can be offered. We are welcoming applications from candidates who do not have current cardiac experience, but have a passion to develop in this area!
You will play a key part in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, ensuring safe, high-quality care from admission to discharge. You will have a number of responsibilities including:
This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked a mixture of long days, nights and the occasional weekend based on their internal rotation.
