Children’s Registered Manager – AHCT Residential Home  

Salary up to £68,000 (Including Annual Bonus)

Overview

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a leading provider of children’s residential services, who offer support to children and young adults aged 5 – 17 with a variety of needs from learning disabilities, autism, EBD and complex needs, to recruit for a Registered Manager to oversee their brand-new children’s residential service which will be based in Tadworth, Surrey.

 

The Candidate

As the Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the 4-bedded service, supporting children and young people, aged between 6 and 17 who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. Initially, you’ll work alongside the Estates Team and Area Director in setting up the brand new services and registered the site with Ofsted, as well as ensuring beds beginning to be filled and recruiting a full staffing team. You’ll then be responsible for the leadership and management of the staffing team, overseeing the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst working closely alongside the Senior Management Team, where together you will ensure the children receive the best care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to Ofsted rules and regulations. Moreover, you will also require strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.       

 

Salary and Benefits

The salary of £55,000 per annum,and benefits include:

Essential Criteria

  • Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
  • At least 2 years in a role supervising and managing staff.
  • Has their NVQ Level 3 In Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • Has their Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
  • Has achieved a “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within recent Ofsted Inspections.
  • Knowledgeable regarding quality processes and Ofsted regulations
  • Clear DBS / CRB

 

Location

This position is based in Tadworth, Surrey and is commutable from Redhill, Leatherhead, Epsom, Caterham, Sutton,  Guildford and Crawley.

 

Interview Process

The interview process involves

  • 3 stage interview process
    • Stage 1 – Initial screening and shortlisting conducted by the Assistant Directors of Residential
    • Stage 2 – Formal interview with the Assistant Directors of Residential
    • Stage 3 – Final interview with the Director of Residential
