Compass Associates is pleased to partner with a specialist provider of high-quality residential care for vulnerable children and young people in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate deputy to take on a new challenge!
Senior Support Worker role is pivotal to ensure that all Children needs are met while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to high standards of care, and a passion for improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, + a range of performance-related bonuses / £50 per sleep-in
- Holiday Entitlement: 28 days gradually to 32 days after 4 years of service + additional 3.5 days of leave (birthday, health & wellbeing day, festive celebrations)

Key Responsibilities
- Leading in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement
- Giving guidance and support to all Residential Workers
- Being responsible for the supervision of designated members of staff and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the member’s of staff’s file
- Planning, managing and leading shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day
- Ensuring Placement Plan for each child is followed and adhered to at all times
- Ensuring education is promoted and supported and that each child’s attendance in education is maintained
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2+ years of direct experience in residential childcare settings.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
