Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client, who provide healthcare to patients with long-term conditions, rare diseases and cancer. This leading company have been supporting patients for over 30 years, referred privately and via the NHS, giving them the life-changing treatments they need in the comfort of their own homes across the UK and Europe. At present, we are looking for a Community Registered Nurse to join their team in Birmingham.
The Role
This exciting opportunity will be working in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and their Early Support Discharge service. As a Community Nurse, you will deliver one to one care in the comfort of the patient’s own home to facilitate early supported transfer from hospital to prevent unnecessary admission.
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for a kind and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, to ensure patients are comfortable and fully supported throughout through their treatment and recovery. This is an extremely rewarding role where you can really make a difference. You will also be responsible for educating patients in how to self-administer medication.
This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, with the shifts being 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 1pm-9pm. There are no nights required! We are currently offering this position on a 12 month fixed term contract, which is great if you wanted to try something new! If you enjoy the role, there is every potential in the future to apply for a permanent position.
If successful, you will be given a comprehensive induction where you will meet your line manager, complete mandatory training, learn the company's way of working and be provided with all equipment and uniform so you will be ready and confident to hit the ground running on your first full day. You do not need to have previous experience working in the community, and we are happy to review applications from a number of backgrounds.
