Deputy Manager | Residential Home | Holmewood
Hourly Rate: £14.30 per hour
Location: Holmewood
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent / 48 hours a week (44 hours paid)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using electronic systems to complete and maintain care plans
  • Conducting audits to ensure quality and compliance
  • Ordering and administering medication in line with policies
  • Visiting hospitals to assess potential residents for suitability of care
  • Supporting and supervising care staff during daily shifts
  • Leading by example in delivering high-quality, person-centred care
  • Assisting with rota management and ensuring adequate staffing levels
  • Responding to incidents and safeguarding concerns appropriately
  • Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Supporting the Home Manager with inspections and regulatory compliance
  • Contributing to a positive, respectful, and safe home environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in a senior position within an elderly care home setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher is essential.
  • Senior Care Assistant or higher experience, with experience in elderly care home setting.
  • A compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of elderly residents.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a passion for providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends with the occasional night & being on call when needed.
