Deputy Service Manager – Community Care (Glasgow Area)
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week (mainly Monday to Friday with occasional evenings/weekends)
Contract: Permanent
An established and progressive social care provider in the is seeking an experienced Deputy Service Manager to support the leadership of their community-based services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and older people.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving service quality, supporting staff development, and ensuring outstanding care delivery across supported living and domiciliary settings. You will work closely with the Service Manager to guide a dedicated team through a period of positive change and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and delivery of personalised support to individuals in the community
- Lead and mentor support teams to promote a positive, accountable culture
- Support the design and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs and regulatory standards
- Carry out staff supervision, appraisals and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations and internal quality frameworks
- Strengthen relationships with service users, families and external stakeholders
- Contribute to business development and continuous improvement across the service
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care Management (SVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent)
- Proven leadership experience within community or domiciliary care
- Experience managing self-directed support packages
- Knowledge of Care Inspectorate regulations and quality standards
- Strong communication, organisational, and team development skills
