Job Title: HR Advisor

Salary: £33,418.32 per annum + £5000 Car allowance

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week, primarily on-site

Location: Falkirk

 

Overview

 

We are working in partnership with a leading organisation in the health and social care sector to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to support services across Scotland.

 

This is a key frontline HR role, providing proactive, hands-on support to managers and colleagues across a broad geographic area. The successful candidate will be a confident, pragmatic HR professional with strong generalist and employee relations experience, ideally gained within healthcare, social care, or other fast-paced, high-volume sectors.

 

This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for an HR Advisor who enjoys being visible in services, building strong relationships with operational managers, and delivering practical, timely HR support that directly impacts service quality, employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.

 

The Role

 

As HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive, professional HR support across a wide range of operational and strategic activities. You will act as a trusted partner to operational leaders, providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy implementation and people engagement, while ensuring full compliance with employment legislation and internal frameworks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on policies, procedures and best practice

  • Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability matters

  • Support recruitment, selection and onboarding processes

  • Contribute to HR projects including engagement initiatives, policy reviews and organisational change activity

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data quality and compliance

  • Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience

About You

  • Proven experience within an HR advisory or generalist HR role

  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable

  • Willingness and ability to travel across the region as required
