Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with a Leading Private Hospital, located in Central London, who are currently in search for a Charge Nurse to join their critical care team, to help lead and manage the department. Their Intensive Theatre Unit cares for Level 3 patients who have undergone a range of complex procedures including Orthopaedics, Spinal, Cardiac and Neurology to name a few.

The Role                                                                   

As an ITU Sister, you will be a key member of the team and will have a number of responsibilities including:

• Taking charge of the unit and overseeing day-to-day management
• Ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered to critically ill patients
• Providing clinical leadership and inspiring the team
• Delivering expert knowledge to junior staff
• Leading by example
• Management of unit’s resources
• Promoting continuing professional development within the team
• Assisting with staff training, appraisals and recruitment

In order to be successful with this opportunity, you will need to have a strong background within critical care, with previous in charge experience.

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked a mixture of long days, nights and weekends.

Role Requirements                                                                  

• RGN qualification                            
• NMC Registration        
• Right to work in the UK                      
• Previous experience taking charge of a unit                              
• Extensive experience working within Critical Care                             
• Experience caring for Level 3 patients                             
• ITU / Critical Care Course (60 credits)                            
• Passion for high quality care                            
• Motivated individual     
• Strong leadership skills                        
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
