We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the development and expansion of a brand-new tutoring service that complements existing education placements with tailored tuition per learner. This is a unique opportunity to shape a service from its earliest stages and drive its growth into a nationwide offering.

 

About the Role

 

This position reflects a broader and more ambitious remit: scaling a flexible tutoring model across the UK. You’ll work at the heart of our expanding education services, which includes the flagship hybrid school program and several other innovative learning initiatives.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and leading the operational roll out of a new tutoring service

  • Developing and executing a commercial growth strategy across your region

  • Building a sustainable model with future locality managers in mind

  • Writing business cases, identifying market needs, and shaping the long-term vision

Who We’re Looking For

 

You don’t need a traditional teaching background—but you do need to understand the specialist education landscape and have the strategic mindset to scale a service. You might have led school programs, launched education startups, or built scalable solutions within specialist education settings

 

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Commercially astute, with strong business acumen 

  • Experienced in setting up or scaling educational programs or services within specialist education settings 

  • Visionary, with the ability to think creatively and act strategically

  • Passionate about improving outcomes for young learners

  • Comfortable presenting ideas, building stakeholder relationships, and driving projects forward.

The Interview Process

  1. An informal introductory call with either the COO or Director of Education 

  2. A formal face-to-face interview, including a short presentation and Q&A

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (negotiable based on experience) 

  • Flexibility around location and working pattern
