Compass Associates are excited to be working with one of the UK’s most exciting Pharmacy groups, offering both high street and online Pharmacy operations!

 

They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Manager to run the Online Pharmacy located in Grays. he successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and legally compliant delivery of pharmaceutical services while driving the service via remote consultations with patients. This is a key leadership role involving operational management, staff development and service expansion across both NHS and private offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe and accurate dispensing of medications.
  • Deliver and promote a range of NHS and private pharmacy services.
  • Develop and introduce new services.
  • Perform thorough clinical and accuracy checks on all prescriptions.
  • Ensure full compliance with GPhC standards and all legal, ethical, and professional requirements.
  • Manage and secure controlled drugs in accordance with regulations.
  • Lead, support, and train pharmacy staff including technicians and counter teams.
  • Communicate effectively with prescribers to clarify and optimise patient therapies.
  • Provide expert advice on the use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Deliver and promote a range of NHS and private pharmacy services.
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and budget management.
  • Maintain accurate patient and stock records using pharmacy IT systems.
  • Stay up-to-date on new medicines, guidance, and industry developments.

Person Specification

  • MPharm degree or equivalent and current GPhC registration.
  • Service driven pharmacist.
  • Proven experience as a community pharmacist
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • High attention to detail with a methodical, accurate working style.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and use of initiative.
  • IT literate with confidence using pharmacy systems.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development.

Hours

 

Monday – Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (paid lunch break)

 

Location


This Community Pharmacy is based in Grays and commutable from Tilbury, South Ockendon, Chafford Hundred, Chadwell-St-Mary, Standford-le-Hope, Corringham, Orsett, Langdon Hills, Basildon, Upminster, Hornchurch, Rainham and Brentwood.
