Regional Director – Children’s Residential Care

£100,000 + 20% Bonus + £8k car Allowance
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience as a regional-level operator in children’s residential care services.
- A proven track record of achieving at least ‘Good’ ratings in Ofsted inspections.
- A valid UK driving licence.
Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a well-established organisation that specialises in residential care services for children who have experienced trauma and are in crisis to recruit a Regional Director who is driven to embed a culture of continuous improvement across services and lead a team of motivated Operations Managers.
THE ROLE
As Regional Director, you will be responsible the smooth operation and continuous improvement of a patch of Ofsted-registered care services across the region. An established team of Operations Managers will report directly to you, while you will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Both quality improvement and commercial success are high priorities for this position, with organisational growth set to continue in the years to come.
THE CANDIDATE
It is essential that applicants have experience in a regional-level role within the children’s social care sector. The ideal candidate will be a confident multi-site operator, as the organisation is currently rolling out an innovative new model, offering managers the opportunity to lead in a pioneering new way.
Candidates must also be commercially astute, with a strong understanding of the requirements of running a portfolio of profitable services, including developing and maintaining relationships with local authorities and managing occupancy levels.
Additionally, candidates should have a proven track record of delivering consistently high standards of care within the sector, with evidence of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of the Ofsted inspection framework and the ability to lead, develop, and nurture a team, ensuring high-quality care for all service users. Our client is looking for a motivated leader who is eager to contribute to the company’s long-term success.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
A two-stage interview process:
1. Introductory call via Teams with the Regional Director.
2. Formal face-to-face interview with the Regional Director and other members of the senior leadership team
