REGIONAL MANAGER – ELDERLY CARE
LOCATION: North Scotland

Compass Associates are supporting a well-established elderly care provider in the appointment of a Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of nursing and residential care homes across North Scotland.

This is a senior operational leadership opportunity for an experienced multi-site care leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care, improving performance and supporting Home Managers to achieve excellent outcomes. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving quality, occupancy, regulatory compliance and commercial performance across the region.

THE ROLE

As Regional Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of care homes, ensuring each service delivers safe, person-centred care while achieving strong commercial and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership, coaching and support to Home Managers across the region
• Driving high standards of care, governance and regulatory compliance
• Supporting homes to achieve strong occupancy and sustainable commercial performance
• Monitoring operational performance through KPIs, budgets and quality measures
• Developing and motivating leadership teams to deliver continuous improvement
• Supporting recruitment, succession planning and leadership development
• Building positive relationships with regulators, commissioners and external stakeholders
• Ensuring services operate in line with legislation, company policies and best practice
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and resident experience

This is a visible leadership role requiring regular travel across the region and close collaboration with Home Managers and senior operational colleagues.

ABOUT YOU

• This opportunity will suit an experienced regional leader who brings:
• Significant senior management experience within the elderly care sector
• A proven track record of leading multiple nursing and residential care homes
• Strong operational, commercial and financial management experience
• Experience improving quality, regulatory performance and occupancy
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills
• Confidence analysing operational data and driving measurable improvements
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and support teams
• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively

A Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, or equivalent, would be advantageous.

LOCATION AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

The role covers a portfolio of services across North Scotland.

Regular travel between homes is required as part of the position.

This role requires significant multi-site operational leadership experience within elderly care.
