Compass Associates are working with an established luxury elderly care provider to appoint a Regional Operations Director to oversee a portfolio of premium care homes.
With a strong emphasis on exceptional care, hospitality and resident experience, this is an opportunity for an experienced regional leader to make a meaningful impact across a multi-site operation.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting Home Managers, maintaining high standards across the portfolio and driving both operational and commercial performance.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the performance and development of the homes, ensuring that quality of care and commercial objectives go hand in hand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee a portfolio of care homes, supporting and challenging Home Managers to deliver consistently strong performance.
- Maintain high standards of care, CQC compliance and quality governance across all services.
- Ensure the homes deliver the premium environment, personalised care and service expected within the luxury market.
- Drive occupancy, manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Coach and develop Home Managers, building strong teams and a culture of accountability.
- Work closely with the Director of Care and Managing Director to support business objectives and the continued success of the portfolio.
About You
This role would suit an established regional operator who understands the demands of managing multiple care homes and is comfortable balancing quality, people and commercial performance.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience as a Regional Director, Regional Operations Director or equivalent within elderly care.
- A strong track record overseeing multiple residential, nursing or dementia care homes.
- Experience within the luxury or premium private-pay market, or a clear understanding of the standards it demands.
- A sound understanding of CQC regulations, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Commercial awareness across occupancy, budgets, staffing and operational performance.
- The ability to build relationships with Home Managers, develop leadership teams and drive consistent standards across multiple sites.

Package
- £90,000 - £95,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
- £5,000 annual car allowance.
- 3% employer pension contribution.
Location
The role covers Essex and surrounding areas, with regional travel required across the portfolio. Candidates should be comfortable travelling between services as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.
