Regional Operations Director – Multi-Site Healthcare Provider
Location: Greater London (Hybrid, with travel across practices)
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum (inc. Bonus + Travel Expenses)

Are you a commercially focused operations leader with experience managing multi-site healthcare services across both NHS and private settings?

 

Compass Associates is partnering with a fast-growing healthcare provider on the appointment of a Regional Operations Director. This is a key leadership role, responsible for operational excellence, growth, and delivering outstanding patient experiences across a portfolio of 15 practices in Greater London and the surrounding areas.

 

About the Role

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will oversee day-to-day management and commercial performance across your region. This is a hands-on role that requires balancing financial accountability, leadership of practice teams, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive sustainable growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead operations across a network of NHS and private healthcare practices
  • Drive revenue and EBITDA growth, ensuring delivery of budgets and P&L targets
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with practice partners and managers
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop multi-site teams, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Implement scalable systems and processes to enhance efficiency and output
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, governance, and quality standards
  • Support the integration of newly acquired practices into the group, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations and senior leadership team to align regional delivery with wider strategic plans

 

Candidate Profile

 

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Regional/Area Manager within healthcare (ideally dentistry, cosmetics, or veterinary)
  • Strong commercial acumen, with proven ability to deliver against budgets and drive financial performance
  • Experience in managing multi-site healthcare services, balancing NHS contracts with private provision
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of improving operational efficiency and patient journeys
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, able to inspire and develop teams across multiple sites
  • Based in Greater London or surrounding areas, with flexibility to travel regularly and work occasional weekends
