About the Organisation:
Compass Associates are proudly representing a leading force in specialist nursing care across the UK, dedicated to supporting adults living with a wide range of complex needs. With a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, compassionate support, and innovation, the organisation is committed to enhancing the quality of life for both its residents and staff. Their mission is clear: to make every day better through meaningful, person-centred care.
Homes within the organisation are thoughtfully designed, equipped with modern technology, and tailored to support individuals with physical disabilities, neuro-disabilities, and complex mental health conditions. Care isn’t just delivered, it’s shaped around each person’s story, strengths, and aspirations.
About The Service:
This purpose-built, state-of-the-art care home is located in Wallasey and features modern en-suite bedrooms, each designed to support people with specific needs such as acquired brain injuries, long-term neurological conditions, and dual diagnoses involving physical and mental health.
This is more than just a care setting, it’s a growing hub of excellence, where highly trained staff work together in a calm, therapeutic environment. The home embraces advanced digital systems for care planning and medication management, making it easier to provide safe, consistent, and personalised support. Residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible, with access to on-site therapy rooms, accessible outdoor spaces, and opportunities to engage in community life.
About The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader to take the reins as the Registered Manager, you will be the driving force behind the service, responsible for leading a dedicated team and fostering a culture of openness, respect, and clinical excellence.
You’ll have the autonomy to shape the home’s direction, from maintaining high care standards and achieving regulatory compliance to overseeing occupancy, financial performance, and staff development. You’ll work closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider community to ensure the service remains responsive and person-centred.
In real terms, this could mean mentoring a nurse who’s new to complex care, collaborating with local NHS teams on admission planning, introducing innovative therapy that enhances residents’ quality of life. It’s a hands-on, highly rewarding role that requires both strategic oversight and day-to-day presence on the floor.
You’ll also benefit from a strong central support team, including quality assurance, HR, recruitment, and clinical governance, allowing you to focus on what matters most, creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for those who live and work at Edgewater.
Candidate Requirements:
We’re looking for a dynamic, compassionate leader with:
- A valid NMC PIN and first-level nursing registration
- At least 3 years’ management experience in a complex care or nursing home setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Sound understanding of best practice in nursing care, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks
- Experience in recruitment, quality improvement, budgeting, and referral management
- Confidence using digital systems to support service delivery
