Job Title: Registered Care Manager – Domiciliary Care

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Care Manager to lead and grow a well-established domiciliary care service based in Burnley. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality care in the community while driving service development and business growth.

 

The branch currently delivers between 2,300 to 3,000 hours of care per week, with significant potential for expansion. You will play a key leadership role in shaping the service, supporting a dedicated team, and ensuring excellent standards of care delivery, compliance, and staff development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and grow a domiciliary care service delivering community-based support to clients

  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and maintain high standards of care and safeguarding

  • Recruit, train, and support a team of care staff, supervisors, and coordinators

  • Identify opportunities for growth and increase weekly care hours delivered

  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, NHS teams, and other referral partners

  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and person-centred service delivery

  • Monitor performance, conduct audits, and implement continuous improvement initiatives

  • Participate in on-call duties as required (with additional pay for escalation cover)

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in domiciliary care

  • Proven track record of managing 1,500+ care hours per week (experience with 2,000+ hours is highly desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding protocols, and community-based care

  • Experience working with local authority contracts, NHS referrals, or complex care packages

  • Ability to manage and motivate teams, deliver quality assurance, and support business growth

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)

The role is commutable from Accrington, Nelson, Clitheroe, Rawtenstall and Colne.

 

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday

  • On-call rotation (second escalation with additional pay if required)
