Job Title: Registered Manager – Adult Residential Care
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Mon to Fri, with shared on-call responsibilities
Location: Bideford

We are seeking a passionate and resilient leader to manage a complex residential service for adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large bedded service with a dedicated staff team, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.

 

The Role

 

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring excellent standards of person-centred care.

  • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, including audits, safeguarding, and inspections.

  • Inspire, motivate, and manage a large team, including deputies, seniors, and support workers.

  • Oversee rota management, resource allocation, and budget control to ensure smooth operations.

  • Collaborate with families, local authorities, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for residents.

  • Drive service development and continuous improvement, shaping a positive, values-driven culture.

  • Take responsibility for staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in adult residential care (minimum 2 years preferred).

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large, diverse team.

  • In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and a strong track record of compliance.

  • Experience in staff management, development, and performance improvement.

  • Confidence in managing budgets and resources effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and professionals.

  • Flexibility and resilience to manage a large, established service with complex needs.
