Job Title: Registered Manager – Adult Residential Care
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Mon to Fri, with shared on-call responsibilities
Location: Bideford

We are seeking a passionate and resilient leader to manage a complex residential service for adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large bedded service with a dedicated staff team, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:

Lead the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring excellent standards of person-centred care.

Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, including audits, safeguarding, and inspections.

Inspire, motivate, and manage a large team, including deputies, seniors, and support workers.

Oversee rota management, resource allocation, and budget control to ensure smooth operations.

Collaborate with families, local authorities, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for residents.

Drive service development and continuous improvement, shaping a positive, values-driven culture.

Take responsibility for staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
We’re looking for someone with:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager in adult residential care (minimum 2 years preferred).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large, diverse team.

In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and a strong track record of compliance.

Experience in staff management, development, and performance improvement.

Confidence in managing budgets and resources effectively.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and professionals.

Flexibility and resilience to manage a large, established service with complex needs.
