Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: Up to £56,000 (Dependent on experience) + £12,000 Welcome Bonus!

Overview
A growing children’s residential care provider is seeking a Registered Manager for a two-bed children’s home in Lichfield. This is a new opportunity following the departure of the previous manager. The role requires a committed individual to lead the service through registration and deliver high-quality, therapeutic care to young people.

 

The Role
The Registered Manager will oversee all aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, promoting child-centered care, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for young people who have experienced trauma. The role requires strong leadership skills, experience in therapeutic care, and the ability to develop and inspire a new staff team. Candidates currently in Deputy Manager roles who are ready to progress are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate capability and drive.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Completed or enrolled in Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services.

  • Experience in children’s residential care.

  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted legislation and standards.

  • Demonstrable child-centered and therapeutic approach.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience supervising or managing staff teams.

  • Commitment to long-term stability and development of the service.

  • Full driving license with access to a vehicle.

  • Clear enhanced DBS.

 

Salary and Benefits

  • Up to £56,000, dependent on experience.

Location
The home is in Wiltshire, commutable from Bath, Swindon, Chippenham, Frome, and surrounding areas.

 

Interview Process
The process begins with an initial phone or Teams call, followed by a face-to-face interview in Lichfield. The interview will include scenario-based discussions to assess decision-making and leadership style. No presentation is required.
