The successful candidate will oversee a home supporting adults with profound learning disabilities, ensuring exceptional, person-centred care. The Candidate:
The Registered Manager will take full responsibility for the leadership and daily operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, promoting person-centred care, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. The role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to inspire and develop a staff team, and strong operational and administrative experience. Candidates at Deputy Manager level ready to progress will be considered if they demonstrate the capability to succeed in a Registered Manager role.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, lead a team of care professionals, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
Quality Care
Ensure residents receive high-quality, personalised care. Promote independence, life skills development, and meaningful engagement in both the home and community.
Regulatory Compliance
Maintain compliance with CQC standards and other relevant regulations, conduct audits, and implement improvements as required.
Staff Development
Provide leadership, supervision, and support for the care team. Oversee training and performance management to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Financial & Operational Oversight
Manage budgets, resource allocation, and operational efficiency while maintaining financial sustainability.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience managing residential or supported living services for adults with learning disabilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and maintain positive relationships.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), with commitment to professional development, including progression to Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and standards. Experience managing services for adults with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities. Understanding of safeguarding and risk management practices.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with hydrotherapy or sensory facilities within care services.
- Experience supporting people with profound learning disabilities and multiple complex needs.
