Registered General Nurse (Days) | Elderly Nursing Home | Chester

£22.25 per hour + paid breaks (£48.594 pa)
Location: Chester
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent / 42 hours a week

We are excited to be partnering with a well-established and reputable care home provider with several services across the UK. They are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis at their large-sized nursing home in Chester.

Located in a peaceful residential area in the heart of Chester, this care home offers a tranquil and supportive environment. Residents enjoy close proximity to a nearby community park, providing a pleasant outdoor space for relaxation and engagement. The home comprises four bungalow-style villas, connected by open-air footpaths, each featuring its own sensory garden, lounge, and dining room to create a homely and inclusive setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health care tailored to elderly residents
  • Assess, plan, and review care plans
  • Administer medication safely and accurately
  • Monitor mental health and respond to changes
  • Support emotional well-being and promote a positive environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families
  • Guide care staff on mental health and behavior management
  • Ensure person-centred care respecting dignity and preferences
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Follow safeguarding protocols
  • Support and educate families

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 4 year’s experience in a clinical position within an elderly care home setting.
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC Pin, with experience in elderly care settings.
  • A compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of elderly residents.
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills, with a passion for providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, work both days and nights, including weekends and holidays.
