The Client

Compass Associates is proud to be working with one of the UK’s leading private hospitals, located in the heart of Central London. Specialising in women's and children's health, this hospital is the largest of its kind in the UK. It offers more than 50 paediatric beds, a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Day Care Facility, and 5 state-of-the-art theatres. The hospital carries out a wide range of complex procedures across acute specialties such as Gynaecology, Obstetrics, General Surgery, and Paediatric Surgery.

          

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Paediatric Nurse to join the Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatients Ward, which is equipped with 13 beds dedicated to providing exceptional care for children with neurological and complex health needs.

 

In this senior role, you will:

  • Lead and support a dedicated team of nursing professionals, providing clinical leadership and expert knowledge to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
  • Deputise for the Paediatric Sister when required and collaborate with the Senior Management Team to maintain the smooth running of the ward.
  • Drive continuous improvements in patient care through research, evidence-based practice, and clinical governance.
  • Offer emotional and practical support to both children and their families during their care journey.

 

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, with a mix of long days, nights, and weekend shifts.

       

Requirements            

  • RCN qualified with NMC registration
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Extensive experience working within a paediatric setting, with specific expertise in paediatric neurorehabilitation and complex care needs.
  • Paediatric Basic Life Support certification.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and supporting junior staff.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding issues and clinical governance, with a commitment to continuous improvement in care standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
